Tax Trilogy Welcomes Five New Team Members
Dearborn, MI, March 2, 2012 - Tax Trilogy, LLC, an indirect tax
compliance and consulting firm specializing in the areas of sales, use,
excise, property and value added tax, is pleased to announce five new
team members have joined the firm.
Lee A. Sweet-Maier joins as a Senior Manager of Indirect Tax. Ms.
Sweet-Maier is responsible for the management, coordination, and
development of client support indirect tax staff. She has
extensive experience in sales/use, excise taxes, and value added taxes
as applied to services. Ms. Sweet-Maier is a member of the Institute
for Professionals in Taxation, and a board member of the Michigan
Women’s Tax Association, and Michigan Chamber of Commerce’s Tax Policy
committee member. She is a frequently requested speaker on
indirect tax related topics. She is active in state
legislative initiatives. Ms. Sweet-Maier holds a Master of
Science in taxation from Walsh College and a Bachelor of Science in
economics from Oakland University.
Kenneth W. Helms, CMI also joins as a Senior Manager of Indirect
Tax. Mr. Helms is responsible for creating indirect tax
strategies and solutions for multinational clients to achieve the most
efficient and effective utilization of cash. He has extensive
experience in designing and implementing Supply Chain Optimization
initiatives for original equipment manufacturers - aerospace,
alternative power (cogeneration, hydrogen fuel cell, non-NOX feeder
supplies) - and their related aftermarket activities. Mr. Helms
is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) and
holds the certification of Certified Member of the Institute member of
the Institute (CMI) in US sales and use tax. Mr. Helms was the
first Chair of IPT’s VAT Education Committee, member of IPT’s CMI
Committee (sales and use tax), frequent speaker at various tax
symposiums and advanced tax schools and teaches advanced audit
management and tax planning at the IPT School II (sales and use
tax). Mr. Helms is also a frequent contributor to various tax
publications. Mr. Helms holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting
from Eastern Illinois University.
Dee Adewunmi joins as a Manager of Indirect Tax. Ms. Adewunmi is
responsible for consulting and advising U.S. multinational clients on
strategies to achieve optimal global indirect tax efficiencies.
She has extensive experience in the design, implementation, and
deployment of people, processes and information technology in the areas
of procure to pay, quote to cash and indirect taxes. Ms. Adewunmi
holds a Master of Law in taxation from Queen Mary & Westfield
College, University of London; Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice
from the College of Law in the United Kingdom; and a Bachelor of Laws
from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.
Andrea R. Alberty joins as Senior Indirect Tax Analyst and General
Counsel. Ms. Alberty is responsible for the oversight and
management of all operational legal matters as well as the
identification of intellectual property assets for trademark
protection; contract review and human resource matters. In
addition she also supports Tax Trilogy’s overall indirect tax service
offerings. She possesses extensive experience in legal
research and writing, litigation support as well as drafting and
reviewing contracts. Ms. Alberty is a member of the Detroit
Athletic Club and an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society’s
annual Relay for Life events. In addition, she is the founder and the
president of the Children of Hope organization. She is a member
of the American Bar Association (Section of Taxation), and the State
Bar of Michigan (Labor & Employment Law Section). Ms. Alberty
holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School
of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of
Michigan Ann Arbor.
Amber E. Dunn joins as Marketing Manager and Operations
Coordinator. Ms. Dunn is responsible for the oversight of all
marketing functions including the development of the overall marketing
strategy and management of all internal and external firm
communications. In addition, she is responsible for supporting
the day to day operations of the firm. She possesses extensive
experience in all phases of marketing and event planning; specifically
related to the development and execution of marketing plans,
organization and coordination of marketing events and business
development and budget planning. Ms. Dunn has been actively
involved as an American Red Cross Instructor for CPR/AED for the
Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider, First Aid/CPR/AED for the
Workplace, and Lifeguarding and well as being an Instructor Trainer for
Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructors. Ms. Dunn holds a
Bachelor of Science in marketing and human resource management from
Oakland University.
